Crash Bandicoot Mobile review
Frederick Clark
Crash Bandicoot Mobile is a fun runner game that helps you to spend time well. It resembles Subway Surfers with it's three tracks, but in addition, it also has a story mode that has a lot of content and challenging levels. Play and enjoy this fun game, and try to get the maximum score. You can try to beat your friends' score, but this will be hard because the game has few players.
Gameplay
Crash Bandicoot Mobile is a runner game much like Subway Surfers where you control Crash Bandicoot and try to get points and avoid obstacles. The game involves collecting Wumpa fruits to earn points, collecting masks to unlock new levels and getting golden masks to give you an extra life.
You can also collect Time Twister to slow down the time and collect Crystal to get extra points.
There are also obstacles in the form of boxes that you need to jump over and avoid getting hit by the cars that appear randomly on the screen.
The game has three modes you can play:
- Story Mode - In this mode you need to collect as many Wumpa fruits as possible to unlock the next level.
- Time Trial - In this mode you need to collect as many Wumpa fruits as possible in a limited time.
- Versus - In this mode you compete with your Facebook friends to get the highest score.
Graphics
The game has nice 3D cartoonish graphics and bright colors that are pleasant for eyes. The characters are well-detailed and look pretty realistic. The graphics are very well optimized for mobile phones. The game supports retina display and looks crisp and clear. You can select between two different graphic quality settings: Low and High. It seems that the graphics were designed for low-end mobile devices, but look very good on high-end devices.
Controls
Controls are quite easy to learn, you could make the Bandicoot change tracks either by tapping on the desired track or by tilting your phone to the left or to the right. For sliding, you could swipe down to make it slide and swipe down again to jump. It is also important to note that to make Crash Bandicoot jump, you need to have it on the ground, and not in the air.
For moving the Bandicoot, you could tap on the desired direction or use the virtual joystick on the bottom left corner of the screen. For the power-ups, you could swipe up, and then swipe left or right to make it change direction.
Replayability
The game is replayable because you can always try to earn more points to compete with your friends on the leaderboard. It also has a social aspect where you can compare your score with friends who have the same game.
Conclusion
I think that this game is the closest to the original Crash Bandicoot game and is one of the best runner games I have ever played. This game is very entertaining and addicting, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a bit of fun.
