Robo Recall

Robo Recall review

Frederick Clark

Robo Recall puts you in the shoes of an employee of the Robo Ready Corporation, a person tasked with recalling formerly obedient robotic servants that have recently revolted against their former masters. In this case, when you think robot uprising, don't think bleak future with mountains of skulls being crushed under the weight of our mechanical overlords. Robo Recall's mechanical adversaries have a personality best described as snarky, or shade throwing, rather than spiteful, titanium death machines from some post-nuclear dystopia. This witty and irreverent tone prevails throughout the game and lends some much needed personality to what would otherwise be another shooting gallery experience.

Robo Recall's gameplay is divided into a series of levels that task you with tackling a variety of objectives. This includes capturing robots without destroying them, protecting an important piece of hardware, or simply wrecking as many enemies as you can within an allotted time. Each level can take anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes to complete, but with a total of only 9 levels, this makes for a very brief single-player experience. However, the levels are intended to be played multiple times to improve your score and complete in-game challenges as you aim to top the leaderboard.
