Geometry Dash review
Frederick Clark
Geometry Dash is a 2D platformer game. The player controls a geometric shape named as "Elevator" (the default name of the player's character). The player has to complete various challenges by jumping over moving obstacles. The player can collect diamonds, and use them to unlock new levels.
Gameplay
In this game, you have to control a ball or a cube to jump on platforms, walls, and ceilings.
The objective is to collect as many points as possible within the game period.
There are two modes:
- Normal Mode
- Demon Mode
In Normal Mode, the objective is to collect as many points as possible. In Demon Mode, the objective is to beat a level as fast as possible. If you want to play Geometry Dash, you must know how to play the game. The game has a total of 26 levels. You need to complete the first eight levels to unlock the second mode. You can also unlock new icons and colors for your ball or cube.
Graphics
Graphics of Geometry Dash are famous for its bright and vivid colors, a wide range of visual effects, excellent animation and other features. These graphics are clearly visible in the ending of the game, where the game passes from one level to another. In this process, you can see a lot of bright colors and visual effects. The bright colors are often used at the beginning of the level and the rest of the level becomes black and white. But in the end of the level you can see bright and vivid colors again.
Controls
It may be hard to avoid obstacles in Geometry Dash and move around as you like, but this is not because controls are bad, the game was made this way on purpose so it is not too easy and you really have to try your best to get through levels. You control your character with the help of two buttons - left and right. All you do is tap them to move your character from side to side. Sometimes you may need to tap them really fast to change your direction in a split second. Also, you can use a diagonal movement to jump over obstacles. It is a bit more complicated, but it is quite simple once you get used to it.
You can also control your character by tilting your device left and right. To do this, you need to enable it in the settings first. To enable this option, you need to go to the "Settings" menu and then select the "Controls" tab. Once you are there, you need to turn on the "D-Pad" option.
Replayability
Geometry Dash is highly replayable because there is a lot of content and even after you complete all of the initial levels, there are a lot of levels on the Internet made by other players which you can download and play as well. You can also download levels made by other players from the Internet. These levels are usually hard and you can't complete them, but you can try them. You can also download new skins for your character.
Conclusion
Geometry Dash is a game that is very addictive and you can play it for hours on end. It has a lot of content and a cool style of graphics. It is also easy to play if you get used to the controls.
This game is highly recommended for fans of platformer games.
