Among Us review
Frederick Clark
Among Us is a detective game in which players must determine whether or not their teammates are impostors. The game is played on a 2D map, where the impostors are hidden from the view of the other players. Impostors can move quickly around the map by taking advantage of the ventilation pipes and they can sabotage the systems on the ship by opening the panels covering them. The goal of the crewmates is to fix all of the ship's systems, but they need to be careful because if they are not, the ship will crash. The game is played in sessions.
Graphics
Among Us has cartoonish 2D graphics. It's a little bit childish, but it's not that bad. Character's and object's animations are just fine and characters design is also good, however, it's a little bit boring. There are no details and everything is just plain. The background images are also not that awesome.
Gameplay
In Among Us, you can play as a crewmate or an impostor. The crewmates’ task is to fix all of the ship’s systems or detect and eject all the impostors, while the impostors’ task is to eliminate all the crewmates before they fix the ship. Impostors can use the vents to move quickly around the ship and they can sabotage different systems of the ship for a distraction. Crewmates cannot see who is a crewmate and who is an impostor, only impostors can see that. Roles of crewmates and impostors are randomly assigned at the start of each round. This is a fun and entertaining detective game.
Replay Value
Among Us has high replay value. Since we all know that Among Us is a 2D detective game, there are lots of solutions to the problem in the game. For example, a crewmate can detect and eject the impostor or a crewmate can detect the impostor and escape to a safe place on the ship to continue the game. Or a crewmate can fix the ship's systems to make them operational. Lots of options and load of replay value.
Controls
Controls are very simple, you just use WASD keys for moving and your mouse for everything else. It is very easy to learn, so after a round or two, you already know how the game works. You don't really need any other buttons to play this game.
Conclusion
Among Us is a nice 2D detective game. Since it is a 2D game, it is very easy to learn how to play it. It is a great game to play with your friends because you can easily start a game and play a few rounds with them. If you want to play this game, you can buy it on Steam or in Google Play Store.
