BeamNG.drive review
Eleanor Wilson
BeamNG.drive is a car-simulation game. It's a physics-based driving game with realistic driving/physics model. High-quality graphics and nice handling makes this game a very good simulation. And it's still in early-access development, with lots of new features and improvements to come.
Due to the fact, that this game is in early-access, there are some issues. For example, sometimes you get stuck in the walls or other cars. And there is no multiplayer mode yet.
But in my opinion, it's a very good game, which has a big potential. You can download it for free from Steam and give it a try.
Gameplay
BeamNG.drive gameplay is like driving a vehicle in real life, the main objective is to drive as fast as possible with the mission to reach the finish line and you have a very limited time to accomplish the mission.
BeamNG.drive is based on physics simulation, so you have to drive a vehicle with great skill to take turns, don’t hit the obstacles and avoid crashing your vehicle.
At the beginning of the game, you have to choose your vehicle, it provides a great deal of vehicles such as SUV, Pickup, Classic truck, Sedan then you have to customize your vehicle with different colors for body and wheels, but there is a limit to choose colors.
After you have chosen and customized your vehicle, you have to start your mission, the main objective is to drive as fast as possible.
Graphics
The game was released in 2015, but its graphics are still good: the game uses the DirectX 11 API with the "Soft Shadows" feature, the "Parallax Occlusion Mapping" effect, the "GPU Particles" and "GPU Instancing" features, and the "Temporal Anti-Aliasing" effect.
The game's graphics are a mixture of realistic and cartoony styles: the vehicle models are quite realistic, but the terrain is not realistic at all.
Controls
If you see the game, you will see that it has a pretty simple design and its controls are very easy to use. The car physics is also pretty simple. You can easily learn how to drive a car in this game. It is the main reason why so many gamers like driving in this game. The car feels like driving in real life. The car's behavior is the same as it is in real life. It has a very good design and it is one of the best driving simulators on the Internet.
Replayability
It is a sandbox game, so it has infinite replayability. You can play it again and again, it's fun and exciting. You can do anything you want, you can drive, crash and explore the huge world.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a driving simulator that is based on physics simulation and high-quality graphics, you should try BeamNG.drive.
It is a free driving simulator, and it has very high quality. It is one of the best driving simulators out there.
It is the best choice for people who want a driving simulator based on real physics. It is a great game for all ages. It is a great replacement for other driving simulators.
