Telegram's New Dogs Coin Memecoin Gains Traction with Over 3 Million Users

The cryptocurrency landscape, currently estimated at approximately $2.05 trillion, encompasses more than 2.4 million different coins and tokens with new ones emerging daily. Among these, ‘Dogs Coin’ has recently generated significant excitement as a new memecoin. Notably, the popular messaging platform Telegram has taken the lead in launching the Dogs Coin token, giving its vast user base of over 800 million an opportunity to get involved with this latest digital currency trend.

Dogs Coin operates within an interactive game available on Telegram's Mini Apps marketplace, aptly named Dogs. This game allows users to actively participate and gather Dogs Coin as they play. The entire ecosystem associated with this game and memecoin was officially activated on July 9.

This innovative token is inspired by ‘Spotty,’ the unofficial mascot of VK, a Russian social network initially founded by Telegram's own Pavel Durov in 2006. Durov is also the mind behind the Ton blockchain, marking the connection between Telegram and the Web3 initiative.

Since its launch, the Dogs ecosystem on Telegram has reportedly attracted more than 3.19 million participants. Users on the platform are rewarded with Dogs Coin each time they invite new members to join the Dogs community. The project developers have reminded the Dogs enthusiasts that airdrop collection will only be viable until August 14.

At present, the only means to obtain Dogs Coin is through Telegram airdrops and user rewards, as the memecoin has yet to be listed on any cryptocurrency exchanges. A recent update from the Indian exchange CoinDCX has indicated that no official date for Dogs Coin's listing has been announced so far.

The Dogs team has cautioned community members that the coin is not available for trading on any platforms at this time.

The official Dogs community account on X has garnered 2.5 million followers. In a discussion with Gadgets360, Shivam Thakral, CEO of BuyUcoin, praised innovative projects such as Dogs Coin. He remarked that initiatives like this showcase the continual evolution and expansion within the crypto market. However, he also emphasized the importance of evaluating the practical use of memecoins as their market acceptance progresses.

Additionally, the Indian exchange KuCoin has already included Dogs Coin on its pre-market watch list. According to the project's developers, the Dogs community has exceeded 50 million users on the Telegram application as of their latest announcement on Monday.
