Sony to Initiate PlayStation Portable Release in November

Sony unveiled the name and price of its PlayStation Portable, a PS5 streaming device, last week without specifying the release date. The wait for a release date was short-lived as Sony has now announced that the first set of PlayStation Portals are to be launched on November 15.

Initially, the PlayStation Portal will be available solely through Sony's own store in countries including the U.S., U.K., Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal. The launch pattern is similar to when the PlayStation VR2 was introduced. Pre-orders have already begun in these countries and selected retailers in Canada and Japan. A different release date has yet to be set for others.
